Air Vent 53560 Review: Air Vent Inc. 800Cfm Solar Gable Fan 53560 Attic & Whole House Fans. I was excited to remove my electric fan and replace it with solar. Installation was fairly easy. As soon as I plugged it in I was thinking it was going to be awesome because the fan started zipping along. After a couple of days I noticed that the solar panel just doesn't generate enough power to keep the blades spinning very quickly all day. Yes, it has FULL sun all day, and the panel is South-facing.
